My logo

Rachael Moody drew me a logo that I'll be using.  Here it is!
I bought this trunk from D.I. to turn it to a dress up chest for my girls.  I finally finished it!  Evey and my sister Alisha helped me paint it.

My girls room all done!

Picture a small, blank, white room, and I changed it to this:

All I need now is a monkey night light and a new trash can that smells better.  The inside of the closet isn't the best of organization right now, but hopefully I can post pictures of that sometime later.  What do you think?

Chalkboard Pantry

Also, just because I was looking for something to do and had chalkboard paint lying around:

Finished Chair!

This chair was quite the experience.  I've done upholstery before, but this was kind of a chore.  The screws keep falling out the bottom, but luckily the seat stays put with just two screws.  And while I was hammering the decorative tacks in one of the back wood pieces came out so I had to staple it back together.  I think it was good for me to learn to do this.  I think I'd rather paint, but I'll do upholstery if the furniture is right.  :)

Trashed Seat

I was taking my trash out to the dumpster when I saw this, just sitting there!  All it needs is to be cleaned and have new fabric put on it!  I couldn't believe someone would just throw it away!  The wood is in good condition and solid.  I'm currently in the process of fixing it up.  It seemed like such a waste to just let it go to the dump.  I'm thankful to whomever thought it was not worth their time so that I could fix it up!

SANDING!

Here are some pictures of my Mother's desk after I sanded it about 4 times!  Whew!  This desk is a beast!  Tomorrow I will be staining it...finally!  Those pictures to come later!

Mom's desk part 2

This is after stripping it, which took forever and as you can see it still didn't get all the paint off, argh!  I'll be trying something else before sanding it all.

My Mom's desk

My parent's bought this desk from D.I.;  a project they wanted me to do, I don't think they really need it, but hey, more practice for me right?  Here is the before pics.
